This aquascape is very well laid out with more form than any other entry in this class. I would have scored this entry higher if not for a few details; the water appears a little cloudy the large stand of M. umbrosum is overgrown with brown-looking stems visible at the front and the right side of the tank is not clearly pictured in any photograph. I also think that pigeon blood discus are an unfortunate choice for planted tanks. Their color does not rest comfortably with the green of the plants.

Improve rock arrangement paying attention to texture size and quantity. Also clumps of Java moss lacking of natural flow. Open space in center
of tank devides into half. Although Umbrosum grows
very nice you should cut earlier (brown bare stems) and plant something other behind.

A very fitting name for this tank. Some amazing contrasts in there.

My tanks tend toward overgrown and crowded and I've never been a big fan of the more formal tanks. This tank has lots of elements of the more formal tanks with the large sculptured patches of plants but it still reveals some wild touches such as the E. tennelus letting some of the substrate show thru instead of looking like a manicured golf-green.

The many shades of green along with the splashes of red compliment each other nicely. And I usually don't like the marine-blue backgrounds but it works beautifully in this tank.
