Awards and Judge Comments

Again, I don't care for the white substrate. I like this less than the sand in the previous entry because of the large grain size. 55G tanks are tough, and this tanks shows some of the problems. Also, it looks like the tank was photographed late in the evening, when the R. wallichii and Cabomba have closed up shop for the night.

The stand of Rotala wallichii, with the red tops, is a stunning stand of plants. This is a tank with much potential. The lack of a true foreground makes this a hard tank to judge. The Anubias needs to be moved back and the riccia as well to open up a space in the front of the tank. This will add some depth to a tank that is very difficult to work with.
