Awards and Judge Comments

A pleasingly simple composition that works well with the ferns as focal points. There are on the verge of being overgrown however and could have benefited from a prune, pre-photo shoot. I would have liked to see some more Rotala for instance. The hairgrass looks a little like an after-thought that would have looked better if blended with some small rocks perhaps. A nice low-maintenance layout though, well done!

Lovely display with a mature look and well-chosen fish. It is a shame your Eleocharis hadn't grown in better. The presentation could be improved slightly by smothing out the edge of the gravel against the front glass.

Nice, lush growth here but the layout is a bit of a cliche. The red foliage seems to be merely an afterthought. Give it a more bold presence and this 'scape will leap in effectiveness.
