#41: 430L Aquatic Garden Mathesium

Pasquale Buonpane Piedimonte Matese, Italy

Comments

This is quite an attractive design and your rockwork is very nicely done. I am not a big fan of Eleocharis vivipara because it is hard to have it not look like a tangle. I think the tank would present better with a contrasting stem plant there... perhaps Rotala rotundifolia. Unfortunately your fish were hiding int the "bushes" when the photo was taken but from your list I think they must bring a lovely spot of color to the tank when they are out and about.

A pleasant sloping design with excellent rockwork. Plant selection is good but the Eleocharis vivipara is too messy and not in keeping with the remainder of the layout.
— George Farmer
The viewer's eye slowly tumbles down the diagonal but quickly returns to the proud focal point the upright stone.
These pleasant visual journeys are what make a satisfyingly successful aquascape.
By the way the stones were well worth the trip up the Matese.
