Your Eleocharis really lends itself to your sand dune theme. However, the H.c. doesn't look like it is doing as well.

I love this layout. I love the simplicity and the composition is perfect. One of my favorites.

Additional Information
I took a step back and tried to create a simple minimalist type scape that depicts some of the bluffs found on the beaches of Long Island, New York. Although simple to the eye, the scape includes a fertile underlayer of ADA powersand and peat moss to assist with growth. The powersand was also placed very carefully underneath the sand covered main stone where it angles down into the substrate. This allowed hairgrass to grow on the slope to create a more natural appearance. The sparsely growing HC also added to a dune-like effect. Combined with a 7 watt LED light system this setup is low maintenance and long lasting.
