Filtration One Eheim Pro 2 2026 with supplemental current provided by two powerheads.
Plants Anubias barteri v. nana, Bolbitis heudelotii, Crinam natans
Animals 10 Norman's Lampeye, 2 pair Pelvicachromis taeniatus, 5 Microsynodontis spp., and a host of snails. (Doesn't anything in West Africa eat those things?)
Materials Silica sand (fine to coarse), laterite base, decorative rock, and manzanita wood.
Additional Information Inspired by photos in Kasselmann's "Aquarium Plants", this biotope is meant to recreate a debris jam in a Cameroon stream. Small prey item fish were chosen for the likelihood that they would be found taking refuge in such a habitat.
