Discus and stemplants don't often go well together and this aquarium is a good compromise between the two. The mixture of colors and shapes has created an aquascape that keeps the viewers attention. This aquascape harkens back to Frode Roe's Best of Show a couple years ago. Stirring the gravel and filling the tank completely would have helped the presentation.

I think it is difficult to keep Discus in this layout. Layout design on the right side of the aquarium does not look nice.

Pretty tank but without a clear focus. While the green covering on the gravel looks nice in the photos it confuses me. I see no listing of plants in that area on the planting diagram which leads me to suspect taht it is algae of some sort. But I don't see obvious signs of algae elsewhere. We are left to guess whether this is "problem" algae or has been purposely cultivated. You need to learn to grow your R. macrandra a little better or omit it from the aquascape. Since it looks like you have plenty of light I suspect that your nitrate level is a little high and turning it green instead of red. PLEASE fill your tank up to the top before taking pictures!!!
