Comments

This is a nice representation of a body of water in a local area. It would eb unusual though not entirely impossible to find so many species in the same small area. I would have liked to see a more natural looking substrate. Still it is a very attractive tank that. Gives a nice idea of the flora and fauna in the area.

Additional Information This cold water tank shows the current reality of local habitats in Southeastern Europe: migration and dominance of invasive and introduced species (such as: Lepomis gibbosus, Neogobius sp, Egeria densa, etc.) in relation to native species (some of them have ended up on the red list - such as Hottonia palustris). All plants and fishes were sampled at same place from local ponds and the Sava River (coordinates: +44° 46' 35.60", +20° 21' 23.34" - see Google map). Only local plants from the red list were obtained from aquatic cultivation and were not sampled in the nature.
