I have to admire your dedication to work in such small space I wonder if the illumination of the tank was insufficient for the HC did not grow compacted or perhaps the tank is still young at the time of your picture; on the other hand it is first time I get to see Glossostigma diandrum used as an aquascaping plant

It looks like you may need more light over the tank to keep the Glosso and HC from reaching upward for it.

Nice start to the tank. The selection of hardscape is overwhelming in the tank and too large to provide a nice balance for the layout. Addition of a small contrasting stem species will add depth to the tank.
