Third Place
Nice habitat. A few plants would enhance it.
— Wim van Drongelen
This is a nice representation of a Rift Lake rocky reef. The fish have plenty of territory and they look comfortable in their surroundings. I like the fact that the aquarist has chosen rocks of the same type and a similarly colored gravel and put them all together in a naturalistic way. The slight haze in the water is unfortunate. It might be an artifact of the lighting but I don't think so.
— Karen Randall
Composition: try to break the watersurface with some rocks. A fold in all stone layers at about 1/3 of the length will make it even more fascinating. Some fine rubble at the base will make it superb.
Tropheus species compatible?
No algae available for Tropheus.
How about feeding regime? One can kill Tropheus with animal protein other species need it.
