I love your fish and plant choices and this is has the potential to be a really pretty mound shaped scape. But you have trimmed it down hard and haven't given it QUITE enough time to grow out into the graceful shapes that the plants should have. As a result it has a bit of a hard-edged look. You might also reconsider your hardscape a bit. Fewer more interesting pieces of wood would probably work better to set off your pretty plants well.

Additional Information All plants are Ludwigia sp., and originally meant to be a biotope entry with the Enneacanthus and Etheostoma but L. polycarpa is not found with the other species natively.
