Awards and Comments

Second Place
Really cool idea. Looks like a beaver dam to me and well executed. Congrats!
— Kris Weinhold
I love this this layout.
The situation that the middle of fallen trees crossed a little valley and plants covered these trees give me very natural feelings!
— Masashi Ono
I like the way that the author has used the driftwood in a very novel way. Maybe the trimming of plants is the worst part of the tank but in any case a very well done aquascape!
— Juan Puchades
Despite the good ranking this layout presents many execution and maintenance flaws.
The presence of algae and the poor health of plants are notorious.
There was no reflection work and the pruning techniques could be better many plants suffer precisely because of a lack of pruning. Some Rotalas are still in the process of transforming from the emerged environment to the immersed environment.
The unusual use of the trunks can be a positive point to represent a "nest" but as long as they were clean and in less quantity mainly those that are in the rock in the front.
Finally the positioning of the fish besides not being adequate for the picture may be signaling that they are not feeling well.
I hope that although my comments do not sound as positive as the others they are totally constructive for future improvement and serve as learning for the next better works.
Congratulations on the brilliant placement but keep working.
— Andre Longarco
