The concern to create many layers is notorious but even so this layout does not have strong and clear lines of perspective.
This is because almost all the hardscape was covered by plants and then we lost the flow reference.
Even trying to use correctly the rounded and bigger leaves in the foreground in order to approximate the plan to the observer the use of the same mosses in all the rest of the aquarium confuses our eye because we lose the sense of depth. Everything belongs at the same plane.
Other point contributing to this effect is the skyline at the same height. If one of the sides was higher it would improve the sensation of perspective.
And last avoid planting and positioning the plants like a flowerbed well organized and symmetric. The natural environment is much more "chaotic" than this.
The harmonic contemplation of nature helps us to understand how Mother Nature develops.
Good job keep at it!
