AGA 2021 Aquascaping Contest: #767

I commend you on your development of the underwater section many aquascapers fail to fully utilize this part of their paludariums you have made good use of the space and the plants look very healthy. The use of red plants in the scape is overpowering remember that less is more in regards to red plants also the salt and pepper substrate is not doing you any favors I suggest next time using a more uniform substrate.

WOW!!! What a vibrant riot of color! and really EXCELLENT growth in your water section! Well done!!! Your fantastic growth and bright colors almost overwhelms everything else! But I am not going to get you get away without a FEW comments for improvement. If you can grow your plants THIS well with a few tweaks you can improve your design a bit too!!! The three Iresine herbstii have become leggy and need to be pruned back to a bushier tighter form if you are going to use them. I am not positive that the Begonia in the middle of the back is doing you any favors here as it is so centered with its large leaves that it draws the eye there very strongly. Think "rule of thirds" for your strongest centerpiece plants. Below water while kudos to you for your fantastic growth now work on a little more skillful placement of your plants rather than the big "clumps" of plants that you have now. I am being very nit-picky about your underwater growth because I think you can do even more. You have some of the BEST underwater growth that we have seen in the paludarium category! Good work!
