#142: 270L Aquatic Garden Rio Caiman

Comments

This is an extremely elaborated stone work. This kind of work usually attracts my attention. I have mixed feelings with this aquascape. The layering looks a bit flat blocking my eyes many times before arriving at the vanishing point. On the other hand I feel the editing of the photo was not appropriate. Bigger shadows on both sides and a brighter vanishing point will give more contrast to the scene.

Additional Information I wanted to recreate a river that winds through the rock and erodes it creating terraces with stalactites and stalagmites.
It has been quite a challenge to create the entire structure, first the base where the rock is mounted, to create caves that are the shadow areas and leave space for the stalactites. All this has implied an extra effort in lighting the day of the final photo.
