#685: 96L Dutch Aquascape Perseverancia

Esteban Manuel Rojo La Plata, Argentina

Comments

I would prefer the group of Rotala rotundifolia to be much bigger covering about 1/3 of the background.
The Eriocaulon could come more to the front. And the Lobelia's could start lower at the front growing higher to the background.
Hygrophila difformis should touch the surface at the background.
There is too much open background.
I consider the inhabitants of this aquarium very suitable although a species such as Epyplatus maculatus could also live on the surface. This aquarium is big enough for that.
Technology well hidden and out of sight.

Healthy plants…but where's the rest of the plants? I feel like a student seated in the front of a class staring at the blackboard waiting for the teacher to show up. That's a lot of black emptiness to gaze into. A small patch of Eleocharis in the front left and some Limnophila in the back middle would have made this tank a delight.

The start is there and the contrasts are good. However a true Dutch Style tank requires more planting.
