This is an interesting attempt in a lovely old-fashioned steel framed tank. While interesting to look at as a short-term display the tank lacks the cover that livebearers such as these need to feel comfortable. While the carefully raked lines in the gravel are interesting they are impractical and unlikely to last very long under "real life" conditions. For use as a short-term display the tank would be more attractive if the water were clearer.

Additional Information Pictures of Japanese rock gardens inspired this design. The patterns in the sand symbolize the ocean, and the stones represent islands. I used a large serving fork to 'rake' the patterns in the sand. Red fish were chosen because of their happy color.
