Volume 38L
Background Black construction paper.
Lighting Approx. 80 Watts mix of cool white and GE plant/aquarium bulb.
Filtration Penguin Mini power filter.
Plants Riccia, Glossostigma elantinoides, Rotala macandra,
Rotala indica, Heteranthera zosterifolia,
Micranthemum micranthemoides, Micranthemum
umbrosum, Rotala wallichii, Eichhornia diversifolia.
Animals Fancy Guppies, Amano shrimp.
Materials 3 rocks used to anchor the Riccia down with some
garden netting used to keep out birds.
Approximately 2 inches of Red Flint medium gravel.
Additional Information Daily fertilization with a custom PMDD mix.
Substrate Gold in lower one third of susbtrate.
Low pressure CO2 system. This tank ran on DIY
yeast CO2 for most of its life.
This tank was originally inspired from a tank from
Amano's Nature Aquarium World Book 1. I wanted to
use some Riccia and new the it would pearl under
the bright light. I wanted to keep the aquascape
as open as possible, since the tank is fairly
small, but I also wanted to create a dense forest
look to it as well.
