Superb and innovative design! The rockwork is superbly executed and the overall composition is excellent. The illusion of the 'mountainscape' is complete! Tremendous work.

Pretty tank very similar to another tank in the contest. (I don't know whether the same aquarist did both or not) I like the more horizontally placed rocks in front with the more jagged rock behind. Your path is nicely done and placed strongly in the tank.

A mighty mountain range all within a 24"x12" footprint. Wonderful! If one of the three peaks on the left side had been superior in height to the others the effect I think would have been more dramatic. All of the peaks stand bolt upright. That they are not a bit more naturally askewed is a detraction. Note how the shorter peaks in the center are cleverly set behind the others. This enhances the 'scape's surprising sense of visual depth.

This aquascape is a classic example of Iwagumi layout. I wondered if it was created by the same aquascaper who created the entry# 185 (Medium Tank). Both layouts are presenting a similar theme which reminds me of the European Alps. The black frames of the aquarium tank look unsightly; they are disturbing to the appearance of the aquascape. Because of a disadvantage like this it's better to avoid using this type of aquarium tank.
