Additional Information Me inspire en este acuario de biotopo en base para que las personas que no están familiarizados con la vida acuática se den cuenta de la belleza natural del medio ambiente, y el daño que le causa realizado la pesca excesiva la contaminación y extracción de organismos. [I was inspired by this biotope based aquarium so that people who are not familiar with aquatic life realize the natural beauty of the environment, and the damage caused by overfishing, contamination and removal of organisms.]
General Impression/Faithful Reproduction of Biotope:
Not enough information about the biotope is provided (river lake stream etc...). There are problems with rocks piled on wood pebbles on top of leaves an unnatural distribution of sand and gravel... overall the tank looks 'scaped' more than it should.
Accuracy of Plants and Animals for Biotope:
Assuming Poza Rica Veracruz Mexico -
Plants:
Heteranthera dubia - possible
Najas Guadalupensis - possible
Ludwigia Repens - possible
Tradescantia Fluminensis - invasive nonnative
Ruellia Simplex - possible but improbable in aquatic habitat
Hydrocotyle Verticillata - possible
Animals:
Astyanax mexicanus - possible
poeciliopsis gracilis - possible
Thorichthys Meeki ... out of range... if this fish is there it is invasive
Gambusia affinis - out of range... invasive
Cambarellus Montezumae - not listed as being from Veracruz but is found in the adjacent state of Puebla so possible...
Melanoide Tuberculata - invasive Asian species
Accuracy of Hardscape:
Not enough information about the biotope. The mixture of the types and distribution of rocks wood leaves sand and pebbles is not indicative of a single type of hydrology or habitat
Condition:
The aquarium appears to be healthy. The animals (that are visible) are in good condition. Plants appear to be growing well.
