#101: 3.2L Wabi-Kusa Ang kaanyag sang UG (the beauty of UG)

RAIN NEIL MINGUILLO UY Bacolod, Philippines

Comments

Love the minimalist concept using the strong form of UG and the upright erio. The flowers on the erio also add to the minimalist look. The wood looks a little oddly placed - maybe a larger wood or more emersed would have been a better option.

What a lush carpet of UG! Best I've seen and I love the flowers on the Eriocaulon. I would have liked to have seen some more color and variety of plants with different textures. Great job.

Additional Information This setup is the result of my fascination for both carnivorous plants and aquascaping.

The beauty of Utricularia graminifolia is not only found when they bloom (unfortunately no flowers have been produced yet) but also on how they can make you relax even by just staring at their leaves.
The Eriocaulon was added to give depth into the setup (got this at a local carnivorous plant farm growing together with some carnivorous plants that are sitting on a water tray) and loved how their flowers appeared like fireworks

Substrate: "USED" Ista Premium soil (to avoid burning and melting of U. graminifolia as it is sensitive to high nutrient substrate)

Using rainwater in this setup
