#631: 40.4L Wabi-Kusa B.B ーBamboo Bouquetー

Yorokobido yamaguchi Hyogo, Japan

Comments

Very unique Wabi Kusa design that is nice and healthy. The red root floaters give the Wabi Kusa a nice pop of color. As a whole the design seems a bit disjointed and lacks cohesion and the large Anubias proportions don't fit the layout very well. Love the wood arch! Good job!

The purple bamboo is nice! The detail with the moss added a lot of detail. Fewer types of floating plants would have made the arrangement more cohesive.

Additional Information -Bamboo Bouquet- is a fusion of bamboo, ’IKEBANA’, and aquarium materials.

I use "Poaceae sp.'Purple Bamboo'" as an aquatic plants to express bamboo.

I first learned of the existence of'’Purple Bamboo' when I was looking at a picture book of 500 kinds of aquatic plants.

It was three years ago that I wanted to make a layout that imitated bamboo with this aquatic plants.

However, since it is difficult to obtain this aquatic plant in Japan, I went to buy the aquatic plant far away and finally got it.

There were many problems in making this work.
For example, purple bamboo grows so fast that it is often trimmed and sometimes needs to be replaced.
Also, since the ideal aquarium size did not exist on the market, I made it myself.
I use a Japanese pattern in my original tank.

In this work, I was very particular about the following four points

・Get the right density of'Purple Bamboo'to remind you of bamboo.
・Grow aquatic plants on'Hornwood'in good condition.
・Adjusting the overall height of aquatic plants.
Finally, the sand on the floor is wavy in the image of the Japanese garden 'KARESANSUI'.

Through this work, I hope that you will enjoy the complex nature and refined imperfect beauty of' ‘WABIKUSA'.
