#51: 66L Aquatic Garden Totem Poles of Peace Ver. 2

Comments

Very interesting idea and well-executed. The fish almost seem alien amongst a layout that so clearly is supposed to represent a landscape!

I remember this tank from last year, and it has grown in nicely. You certainly deserve kudos for long-term maintenance! My comment from last year also stands though, an aquascape needs to be strong on its own merit, not because of photos placed behind it.

I must give credit here for an honest attempt to push the envelope. The imposing forms on the right side are thought provoking.
The unfortunate placement of the rocks on the right side, however, short circuits the attempt. Even the abstract has to adhere to certain logics, including the relationship of shapes to each other.
I'm not sure how I feel about the changing backdrops. In the spirit of this aquascape, why not?
