#500: 5.1L Wabi-Kusa Swamp of longging

Rommi irawan Bengkulu sumatra, Indonesia

Comments

An impressively large patch of 'Monte Carlo' intermixed with Hydrocotyle sp. 'Japan'. While these species appear in mostly good health the same cannot be said for the Eleocharis that appears in the rightmost rear corner which is clearly browning and suffering from humidity damage. This plant benefits from high humidity when emersed and also does not compliment the composition of this arrangement.

In regard to composition the small section of water feels "carved out" almost like a square chunk that only adds rigidity to the display.

The intermixing of Ludwigia sp. 'Super Red' and carpeting plants provides a wonderful texture and color contrast which is very pleasing.

I like the detail of the small leaves in various colors. However it really needs to have larger leaves to contrast and make the smaller leaves then provide the detail.
